Deputy Editor

I am very pleased to announce that we have a new member on the editorial team at Touchstone, J. Douglas Johnson. Doug joined the Board of the Fellowship of St. James in 2014, and last year began working with me in development, conference planning, and editorial capacities—whatever is needed, when it's needed.

Doug first came to FSJ with a business background, but also as an avid reader of Touchstone. His first contribution to Touchstone was to suggest a new department, Commonplaces. Those who have met Doug at our conferences or elsewhere (he does get around!) know that he is well read, articulate, and deeply concerned about the issues we care about. Because we have many needs and plans requiring business, marketing, fundraising, and editorial work, in the near-term Doug will be engaged in "all of the above" as needed. He—and all our staff and editors—will appreciate your prayers and support as we continue in Touchstone to focus on articulating and defending the faith once for all delivered.

Time for Fight or Flight?

James M. Kushiner is the Director of Publications for The Fellowship of St. James and the former Executive Editor of Touchstone.

—Alice von Hildebrand
