Filling floors with liquid materials is quite a laborious process and carries with it a number of different problems and obstacles (time of hardening, inconvenience in use, etc.). In the course of rapid development of construction technologies, a new method appeared - the dry screed.

The new method allows you to significantly save costs and time. Dry screed can be used in conditions of any room temperature, at any time of the year. Works of one room of the average size can be executed within one day. Also, the low weight of the material is a big advantage.

The technology of building dry screed is very different from other ways to level the floor.

The bottom layer is a dry, free-flowing mixture. The layer will ensure the preservation of water resistance and sufficient thermal insulation of the floor. The top layer is the plates laid and strengthened among themselves. The design is quite strong and smooth, suitable for various types of coatings.

Before you start, you need to prepare the surface - remove debris, clean from dust and dirt, if there are seams or potholes, carefully seal them. In the sequence it is necessary to make a waterproofing of the floor, for this the entire surface is covered with a film or various self-adhesive materials. A damper tape (8-10mm) is fixed around the perimeter, it will protect the coating from thermal expansion.

Upon completion of the preparatory work, a layer of dressing is established.
Apply the mixture.
Profiles (beacons) are set using a level for leveling the surface.
The layer of dry mix is ​​aligned with the already installed beacons.

The amount of consumption of the mixture on a straight line depends on the thickness of the lower layer. Depending on the state of the lower base, this layer is usually from 30 to 50 mm. For additional communications in the floor (electrical or water heating systems), layers are made thicker. In some cases, clay is also added.

At the subsequent stage it is necessary to install the mounting plates. Nowadays, their choice is very diverse:

1. Moisture resistant plywood.
2. Wood-shaving plate.
3. Gypsum Fiber Sheets (GVLV)

Plates are glued and fastened with self-tapping screws. The finished, smooth surface is suitable for applying various coatings: linoleum, laminate, parquet.

The only drawback of dry screed is the fear of water (the plates can swell when in contact with water). If the layer of dressing exceeds 60mm, then the plates need to be mounted in two rows. www.camhub.cc
